WHO WE SERVE
SEED has previously funded programs and projects that have ranged from literacy enhancement to health and wellness provision, to economic education and and spiritual uplift. The SEED Fund has proudly contributed to the following programs:
CHILDREN'S DEFENSE FUND FREEDOM SCHOOL
The Children's Defense Fund Freedom School founded by Marion Wright Edelman in 1960 is an educational program developed to enlighten, encourage, and uplift children of underserved families. Their mission is to inform and empower greater self esteem and community solidarity in participants through culturally rich experiences and relevant readings, as well as to encourage positive organized civic engagement.




JOHN DAU FOUNDTION
Founded by a former Sudanese Lost Boy and genocide survivor John Dau, the John Dau Foundation in partnership with South Sudan Nation Builders builds and runs medical clinics and trains community health workers. The Foundation also administers nutritional programs specifically targeting children and pregnant or lactating women in several villages in the former Duk County, South Sudan.
The foundation also trains, employs and feeds local residents who help to deliver programs in these areas of need, facilitating needed care and promoting peace and reconciliation through health care provision, education, and agriculture skill development.
ThruGuiDANCE MINISTRIES INC.
ThruGuiDANCE Ministries is a faith based organization committed to serving youth, both domestically and abroad, who come from neighborhoods plagued with the evidences of poverty. ThruGuiDANCE programs provide spiritual enrichment, health & wellness knowledge, dance and arts exposure, education and community service activities which enhance youth's opportunities to develop creative passions, strengthen spiritual practices and promote the power to create change within their community.

A NEW WAY OF LIFE
A New Way of Life is a Prison Reentry Project that provides housing, case management, pro bono legal services, advocacy and leadership development for women rebuilding their lives after prison. Since its inception, A New Way of Life has assisted over 11,000 previously incarcerated women to productively reenter the greater community.
